Friend got their notice yesterday via email.
Very nice! I get mixed feelings/vibes considering we just deferred a ton of orders. That + the engine issues, I really wonder how long the run of full classes will go. I honestly was prepared for classes of 10-20 to become the norm going forward. Hoping we've somehow figured out a way to mitigate loss of aircraft.

Yeah, for sure. What I'm getting at, though, is:
We take on 21. 15% growth in pilots.. That assumes that we don't return any leases. It also assumes we don't have any aircraft go down for 300+ days for make-a-wish P&W engines. If those start dropping and/or we return leases, that 15% growth turns into a much lower number, or even becomes 0% or less..shrinkage.

Competitive.. I honestly can't tell you, unfortunately. Not sure we've interviewed since January. We have a hiring pool exceeding 1000 CJOs. I can say that we're hiring about 40 in October and heard 60 in November, seems like hiring is on the upswing for the short term. But with as many as we have in the pool, I'm not sure how long it'll take before we start interviewing again.
What I will say is that the non-cadet types were coming in with about 500-700 turbine time.
