Obviously I know you will still lose out on pay, but there are tons of reasons out there where a few thousand extra bucks lost may be worth it to someone. Getting married, just had a baby, sick family member, bucket list trip. If you can swing it financially then it's a great thing to be able to do. Life is short.

Personally, Id rather work the summer, pocket $50k per month with all of the green slip trips, and buy an airplane and take a 2 week vacation at the same lodge the following summer, while also putting an extra $20k into retirement. But ya...to each his own. Short term gains for long term losses.

This is only offered for FOs and only one month. I don’t think a Frontier FO will make 50k in one month and since we will be over staffed there won’t be that many green slips. We are talking less than 5k here for the aforementioned example after taxes. Probably even less. You clearly value your money more than time vs I value the time with my littles more than my money. That’s okay. To each their own.

One of the mind boggling things about this profession is that in any other career with this kind of earning potential, the professionals aren’t too stubborn to accept that it fundamentally IS their problem when a decline in business makes them redundant.
This “me versus the company” attitude is just tiresome and beyond childish.

Gotcha, thanks for the reply! I had a friend actually talk to BL yesterday and he said they were gonna have a Sept class due to how many people they are losing to UA in the next few months. But who knows, I'll take it with a grain of salt. We have been told one thing one week, and the next it's completely different. Gotta just take it day by day lolll

Nothing is for sure here until it is done, our management enjoys lying, leading people on, and outright not telling us employees anything having to do with our operation.
