IMO it’s probably a short-term pain long long-term gain type of situation. The first 3-4 years being the tricky part. We are all just along for the ride. Deciding to move along is up to each of us.

Plus we will have even more bases with Houston, Detroit, Atlantic City, and FLL/MIA! Who’s going to be the first to be based on them all?!

I’ll add. Eh don’t worry anyway. The attrition at NK is probably going through the roof right now so our relative seniority is only getting better.

Worst case scenario you lose both total and base seniority.
EDIT:
Also, what's the chances they keep all these bases? PHL, TTN, and ACY? I'm just throwig those three out there. I don't really know.

Well. You can gain total system seniority, but end up losing base seniority. Total seniority is great, but base seniority dictates your life on a daily basis, which is why it isn't nothing to sneeze at. We're seeing this right now with all these Godd#mn displacements.

Who knows? Since we are back to all bases (not sure whether to include MKE or not) on the list and seemingly wanting more I would think we keep them.

I agree. I was mostly being sarcastic since there is nothing we can do about it. I already made my peace with what is probably coming and the delay on the contract we will likely incur as a result.

"system seniority" operationally is not something that matters day to day for a Pilot. Some situations might be furloughs, system wide displacements, etc.
but day to day, base seniority does (the pilot lives in base). Hold a line, pick up trips, days off, etc.
buying or merging with Spirit will be an excuse for BB to "review things before we ink a new pilot contract" and slow roll contract progress. "We can't sign a new contract in light of the planned merger, all good things will come in time" etc etc talk
"we need to get the merger done, then we get the pilot contract done" etc
so...

And you’re now even more Jr. Because of base closure displacements and your draw in the SLI.
What’s the old saying about mergers and SLIs? It’s not complete unless everyone is unhappy.

Be careful what you wish for, Chimpy. It’ll be your luck they close ACY, and you’re commuting to PHL, for day turns (not that day turns are bad)

Just remember the F9 motto- “The beatings will continue until morale improves”.
It’s pasted on the same tail as Grizwald The Bear. Swear
