2) both use same software (navblue, flica, ect)
3) we fly the same aircraft
4) from what i've been told our SOP's are pretty similair

The list can continue for a while, but we all get the point.

I'm just a pilot but man, I feel like the cost synergies would be giant if they mergerd... Maybe we could actually get in-house ground personal.

I also think it would allow them to try to pivot the product they currently offer into something that's not known as a Meme to the general public.

Mergers are always messy, but I think it would be as seamless as airline mergers get.

What do you all think? I know this thread hasnt been chatted about in a while...
VP of flight ops at Frontier is saying merger is not even on the Radar, multiple base openings has been a major head ache (go figure).
On that note, even if they are planning on A merger we will be the last to know... As always

there has yet to be a guidence change for Q2 fincaials... I think the whole point of a merger is to make more money and reduce cost? I think most mergers in last two decades have come from struggling airlines in bankupcy trying to figure out a path forward.

Curious, can you elaborate on what BL said about major headache? I mean, we all knew it would be but wondering what he said.

Of course it's a mess. It's not possible and never will be. But we all already knew that. Shurz knew it. Probably everyone except BB knew it. Hopefully they walk it back before they make things worse.

Probably a bit of wishful thinking. Talking to MM was told this was something they wanted to do in 2014 but couldn’t justify it with them making money like they were with trying to get an IPO together. Knowing the lack of awareness this management has by the time they decide to walk it back it’ll be a sh!t show. The amount of BS we are putting up with is pathetic. They don’t care about our livelihood, they will close bases as fast as they have opened them if this doesn’t work. We are not Europe, we will never be Europe. The US is too large for this to work effectively. We have already seen that it really isn’t working. But again what do I know I’m just the guy who flys the plane.

Meanwhile we have multiple airlines that are not hiring so the stupidity will continue to get worse because management will believe that we are stuck and don’t have alternatives.

In regards to oppurtunities with multiple airlines hiring - it's crazy that no one took advantage of that for the TWO AND A HALF YEARS it happened.

Stolen from the Spirit Forum. He articulates the M/A potential for Spirit better than I did in the other thread.

What are the odds F9 further defers or even cancels orders and instead seeks to acquire Spirit again under the right (fire sale) conditions? Genuinely curious. Sure, it’d mean taking on some debt and likely redundant staffing levels but assuming some debt renegotiation and attrition of Spirit staff as people rush for the exits, is there a chance Spirit stock could be cheap enough for this at some point?

Sure it’d mean forgoing some SLB gains but I’d imagine they can get some value from deferrals or transferring orders to other hungry airlines given the current environment.
