The number that jumped out at me was the revenue on the capacity growth.
We have grown capacity by 20% from a year ago yet brought in the same amount of revenue. That means ticket prices/ ancillary revenue are down a lot.
I think demand went down so they lowered ticket prices a bunch to try and fill the planes. Not a good quarter. But I think demand is much higher going into the holidays and I know ticket prices are higher. I was just looking to book tickets for my family during the holidays and the tix were very expensive. I'm guessing we are back to being solidly profitable in the 4th quarter

I don't get it. Planes are filling back up, ticket prices should be going up, fuel isn't cheap, but it should be manageable....
Utilization of the planes must be way down. Id like to see those numbers.
Btw, Spirit lost a bunch of money

Sheesh. Yeah spirit lost almost 160m. Curious to see what everyone else does. Knowing AA lost, UA and DAL are the only two who made, and they made BIG.
