No March and April were 60 each. Though this is the highest captain count since Nov 2022.

It is my understanding we will see 40-60 per class for Nov and Dec as well.

Yeah it did.... Gave me another 5 or so people behind me and hopefully move some ahead of me.

This is the last "smaller" (it is huge amount of CAs though) system bid. Our next one should have the 40-50 backfilling from the bigger NH classes that start in nov.

Would love to see that. And you're probably right with the NH classes that are rumored.

I genuinely wonder what the hiring is for.. Obviously attrition hasn't skyrocketed back up yet, it seems. New deliveries yeah, but it's unclear to me how much we are growing next year and how much we're growing in 2025.

Lots of chatter allegedly of opening ONT/RDU/CLT next year..

All 3 being new bases or just one of the 3 ? A lot of flying out of ONT lately and I bet that would go super Junior. Not a lot of direct flights for commuting.

Most probably left but I always thought there was a decent amount of guys living in SoCal or at least guys that want to go back.

5 airplanes remaining for the year covers 70 pilots worth of that hiring. I presume they spread the orders pretty evenly for next year when they deferred and we are still supposed to grow by about 20 planes. Maybe they just want to hire 200 pilots, take a few months off and hire 200 again instead of 30 per month? I don’t know.

That’s what BL has been saying yes. I hope they learned that they can grow organically this time around and not displace…

This is it... If they are going to displace, at least have the balls to tell your employees that you want to grow a base to displace some and backfill after X months. Not just throw out a sheet with -10 and let them figure it out after they already bought houses in bases YOU told them to move to.
