Lanyards are a nice gesture, the strike vote is a nice gesture, but overall it means nothing to management. If you think the cronies that run this goat rodeo of an airline give 2 ****s about these gestures, you are wasting your time. Contract 2030.
just vote for the strike vote and move the process along..........jeeezzze

FWIW, when we (NK pilots) agreed to an AIP in 2018, the first thing Bendo (our COO) did was pull aside our NC/MEC Chairman and asked us to take off our lanyards. They said "Spirit Pilots Ready to Strike". Don't know if there was a book-away effect between our strike vote made public and the fact we were the last airline to strike, but the fact he did that was telling...

When people see the Spirit lanyards they think "dang I hope I can Make it back home" When people see the Frontier Lanyards they think " That is nice that the company gave them a good contract"

One statment is bold and threatening. The other is passive aggressively projecting nebulous wording into the mouths of managment. What is a career contract ? do we not already have a career contract? If we do low fairs so poorly how will we do a career contract? Have we already done a career contract? Are we asking for something? Are we demanding something? what happens if we don't get a career contract? will we just continue whining like we do now and every so offtin when managment comes up with a new and inventive way to make our lives more miserable will our Union continue to say "we just have to roll over and take it " because "Frontier"

I think its time for new Lanyards.

This is an opportunity for the new MEC to distinguish himself and prove he belongs where he is.

Very well stated. I am confident the union will be on the same page when they issue new lanyards.
