If a strike vote were to be approved, would it be a specific day or two or more of a no one shows up to work for a week kind of thing?

It wouldn't be any of that. A strike vote is just a vote. Its simply the next step in the process. If a strike or something close to that were to happen its well over a year down the line. A vote however will be coming in the next few months (according to the MEC). Its more of a annoucment that we are fed up, at least thats my understanding. Someone with more knowledge please correct me if Im wrong.

Sorry, my wording sucked.

I understand that a strike vote is just a vote. I was more asking that if the NMB released us to self-help, and nothing happened after the cooldown period, would the ensuing strike be indefinite until we get a TA or would it be an intentionally short-lived strike (assuming that we actually got there)?

Yea that question is above my pay grade lol. I'll pass that one along to someone who knows more. Honestly my guess is, it never really gets that far. We really can't strike legally so Im not sure how far we would be allowed to go.

no
not even remotely close. Just a step. Call a rep or send a dart. Educate yourselves so you can help others

if we EVER got there....... the govt would have to "approve" a strike or company lock out I believe...... ask a rep

If we ever got to a real strike, which is unlikely, it would be a full strike until a TA is reached or the company goes out of business, whichever comes first. They will come to the table real quick.

The Spirit strike 15 years ago lasted 4 days

We need a everyone to vote yes on the strike. We must show management that we know what we are worth. 100% turnout, 100% yes. Show the company and the NMB wheres we are at.

while I agree that a stike vote is important, I think since the PROBABILITY of an actual strike occurring is dismally low, I am not sure a strike vote carries the weight it rightfully should, with current Frontier management.
