Two (2) consecutive quarterly losses in an environment of record industry profits. Just wait till the DEN east gates are open and the customers can enjoy a real treat experienceing -8 deg. weather as they wait in line on the airstair to board their already delayed flight. Another brilliant move by BB and BL. F9 turned into a circus the moment Indigo put two clowns in charge.

Bancruptcy for airlines is actually fairly easy. As with AA, you just put a bunch of aircraft on order (kinda what we've already done). The amount of cash you have on hand really doesn't matter.
Once you file, you cancel the order.

What is it going to take to convince the NMB to step in?
what else do we need to show that F9 ownership will not bargain in "good faith "?
drage another spirit merger out then drag a JCBA out then mediation in 10 yrs?

Ok I have a hypothetical here. It is based off a few assumptions
Answer
Stop wasting time Negotiating with F9 Management and start negotiating with United, American, Delta ,Southwest, and Alaskan for the entirety or a part of the pilot group.
This would be a win win win
The F9 Pilots get to work for a company that wants to run an Airline.
The Other Airlines get to hire competent, seasoned Pilots.
and F9 gets to realize its dream of becoming merging with ATP.
I am sure many of you are going to tell me the reasons this can not work. Which is Good I need your input. We need Ideas and bargaining chips.
This is a bit of a Nuclear Option ,but the NC has been working at this for 6 months with nothing to show for it. I would prefer to stay at F9 but not if we are just going to flail around like a fish out of water to wait ten + years for a contract, Or hoping that some committee that has never authorized a strike will do so now (after 5-7 years around 2028)
No Sir this is a free market solution where F9 gets to chose weather or not they would like to retain the pilot group, Or Train a new one. All of the Pilots will keep working so no disruption to the transportation system. Finally some one will ask say “Why don't you just leave now?” your right I could it wouldn't do much for our negotiations though. Also I don't want to leave. I just want a contract.
We are in a Unique period of time. It is not one of Pilot Concessions ,but this will not last forever it is a hand that needs to be played NOW.
Also this only works If we are collectively willing to go through with it. Going to another airline involves starting at the bottom again. That said if your looking at a future full of five hour day turns and ten hour three days. What good is all that seniority anyway. Your trips are still garbage and your still working fifteen days a month (at least) all while Training people who will be gone before they learn how to land well.
That is my pitch. What do you think? Tell me why I am wrong or why this won't work. (constructively if possable)
- F9 Management is unwilling to pay a market rate for the A320 Pilots
- Our Union Can Not negotiate because somehow we have no Bargaining Power
- All of the other Airlines are hiring and in desperate need of experienced Pilot
