“Finally, the company stated that they didn’t think legacy rates are appropriate at Frontier (naming Sun Country, Allegiant and Spirit as our closest peers), that we need to acknowledge that our business model does not generate the revenue of other carriers, and that the company simply cannot afford what ALPA is asking for.”

And there it is. As plain as day. For those who were arguing that this was never stated before.

Make no mistake, BB and BL clearly, have zero incentive (emphasis added) to reach a contract in the near-term. I would not be surprised if BB and BL have a nice bonus waiting for them if they are able to achieve a concessionary contract or some economic incentive on a sliding scale basis. Are BB and BL being compensated at Spirit, Sun Country, Allegiant, etc.. wages?

Thus far, what substantive gains has the F9 MEC/Negotiating Committe achieved since opening negotiations?

Barely anything substantial...

Also, BB and BL making the same as their "peers"???

Barry Biffle - Frontier Airlines $3.75 million $2.55 million
Ted Christie - Spirit Airlines $3.17 million $2.45 million
Maurice Gallagher, Jr. - Allegiant Air $3 million $1.75 million
Jude Bricker - Sun Country Airlines $794,000n/a****

Would you look at that... Seems like we should shave some more pay off of BB's paycheck so he can be compensated to his "peers", lets see how he likes it. He had one job, that was to turn us profitable, make money and merge with Spirit, he failed and he has no idea what he is doing now. I think his pay should reflect that, I know the stock price and moral of employees is.

The Spirit pay scale argument can be scratched out because that is only a temporary scale and is about to be JB pay scale anyway.

The Allegiant pay scale argument can be scratched because they are in negotiations. Hopefully they can hold strong.

Does anybody know if the Sun Country pay scale on APC is up to date?

Fly the contract.

Well to fly a 321neo or XLR it’s $320 and a 320neo is $312 first year captian. 319/320 is $310. I’m no expert but considering you can get a captian bid in class right now and fly 350 hours from the right seat and then go to the left seat I’d say you’d break even within 18 months and that’s being generous. Not to mention a higher retirement contribution amongst other things.

Widebody FO (if that’s your cup of tea): By the time you would hit third year pay it would exceed 12 year F9 captain pay. Your 2nd year pay would be over $230/hr not including international override.

Narrowbody captain: If you did not get captain in indoc and you would get it while on probation and activated when you start your second year, second year narrowbody captain pay will be over $345/hr.

17% DC to 401k, going to 18% next year.

Then there’s profit sharing.

If you can take the hit in the first year, you will be financially even very quickly.
