I think the writing is on the wall of how negotiations will go. We’ve seen it before, same management and revolving door of pilot representation. We’ll vote in sub par garbage after we get desperate , get locked in that, all while every other carrier enters negotiations again.

This airline has become a stepping stone to the legacies except for the second career 50 and above age group pilots. We have now seen so many mid range captains leave and not look back once. The grass is truly greener, just ask them. Whatever though at least we have amazing drop/swap or whatever we tell ourselves.

Default Latest Negotiations Update

Is this supposed to be a joke?

"We expect the company to provide us with their full and comprehensive counter and to pass us any additional proposals they intend to make."

No. It’s not a joke. You do understand we’re looking to get into mediation at some point if there’s not much movement?

Sounds like a normal negotiations expectation....

Really? Because up until now, the company has responded to just about everything with "go pound sand" or "if you bring that up again, this meeting is over."

Somehow having a comprehensive counter ready to go sounds downright ridiculous.

It is ridiculous, but the union has to ask for them to do that.

Negotiations this time seem to be going slightly better than last time. Last time every email for 2+ years read "the company was not prepared to discuss..."

Is there a good place to get updates on how the negotiations are doing?

No it’s mostly internal except for what you see here. It will go poorly until it doesn’t.

Oh yeah, company wanted the Union to sign a NDA regarding the negotiations making the info even more difficult to find as of last month. So don’t expect much.
