These talks are barely able to be classified as "Negotiations"
We haven't even gotten to negotiations at all yet. It's taken until now for the union to simply tell the company what we want. Until the latest session the union hadn't even given the company all of our propels yet. So, yes, you're right. Talks so far haven't even been negotiations.

Except for the fact they've TA'ed a section or two already. Don't get me wrong, it's a joke of a section, like parking.

Genuine question, does the union have a binder of our complete TA they want and put it on the desk for the company to look at? I was under the impression that they would get easier ones out of the way (like parking) and build up to the harder ones later on. I've understood that since the company is being the way they were last time, there's no reason to keep going section by section looking for agreements. The company isn't going to agree to anything with meat on the bone. A key factor in getting to mediation is presenting all sections to the company. So they are starting to throw a lot more on the table just to get the ball rolling.

Timeline...approximate.....

Airline Amendable Date New TA/Contract Status Notes/Comments

SWA Sept 2020 3 years later, no new contract

DAL 2019 4 years later, Jan 1 2023 effective date COVID impacted negotiations. ALPA President is/was Delta Pilot

UAL 2019 4 years, Sept 2023 effective

AA 2015 8 years, Aug 2023 passed

FedEx 2015 Amendable 2021, still not agreed on FedEx Union chair outed by Pilots, TA rejected

Question: How fast will Frontier Management give the Pilots a fair, and appropriate contract ?

When it becomes too expensive for them (ie parking airplanes, nobody in class etc) to not have a new pilot contract is when we will get it.

Your forgetting the fact there was no sec 6 labor negotiation with airlines receiving governments assistance. Roughy two years. That was part of the conditions to receive payroll protection. You can just subtract two years from those timelines.

This is probably a pretty good guess. Depending on meditation.

So, last contract negotiation was a little under 3 years from the opener. Every day that goes by, the company profits from the current contract being in place. There is very little chance this new negotiation will be any faster. If we get a contract prior to Summer 2026, consider it an anomoly.
