I was wrong. It’s “The New Frontier”. Another reinvention of our business model.
To be clear I’m certainly not opposed to change, especially when what we’ve been doing hasn’t been working.
I just don’t have any faith in our leadership to execute and deliver.

Agreed. Barry pretending like this is his idea and not government intervention. Which was needed with this management’s bs imo.

Generally an optimist but I’m not too pleased with the news. The closer we get to the legacies the less reason to fly us imo. Our major advantage is a la carte and our price. Unfortunately our execution is crap. It does nothing to fix our cancellation rate/on time performance which are our biggest gripes. Agreeing with Herc, how are the gate agents supposed to know who bough what ticket level in a timely manner to know that bag is paid for or not? Will they care? Maybe this brings a little good will with the nickle and diming problem? I do like the free cancellation aspect. I’ll give them that.

Rolled it out awfully quick for it to be purely government intervention related. I’m thinking this was already in progress.

Free cancellation and a human to speak to were both requirements in new legislation that was known for weeks and speculated for months now. Most of the plan he just layed out is a regurgitation of new law. It’s a move in the right direction but let’s not pretend biffle came up with this.

Not anything new from what we already know about how F9 is making cash flow.
Perhaps as the cash cow from leases begins to wind down, we transform or merge since F9 can’t stand on its own as is if this truly is the case.

We wont see the cash cow winding down for atleast the next 4 years... deliveries double next year until 2029. I have no doubt in my mind Frontier will either merge with another airline or be gone in 5 years.

First, you say the cash cow is not winding down for "at least" the next 4 years. Then you claim we will "be gone" in 5.
Thanks for sharing your extensive intelligence with the group

Good news story, thanks for sharing.
I've long known this was the case but this is the first time I've seen actual numbers. $71 Million in the first quarter. Does anyone know how many AC we took January thru March? (5 or 6 maybe?)
People frequently used to claim we would never see all the orders. "No way we actually grow to 230+ airframes" or "I'll believe it when they are parked on the ramp" but seeing that Frontier pockets millions of dollars for deliveries..... yeah, I think we are going to get every last one of those planes on order. And then probably order more.
Edit: did a little digging. I believe we had 6 delivered in Q1 of 24 so that means Frontier pockets almost $12 Million per delivery.

If we assume 12M per your math that’s 500M next year. An airplane every 1.2 weeks being delivered. They do need to place an order soon though since our order book stops around ‘29 and the backlog seems to be backed up to around 2030. That or buy/merge with Spirit and take over their orders which were deferred until 2030.
