I didn't mention BB as tanking, I mentioned Indigo. BB sold when the stock was on the way down to try and salvage what he could given he knew (had just been informed) it was Indigo's intention to go lower (possibly to zero). As you mentioned, BB doesn't BUY the stock as it's part of his compensation. So, he doesn't LOSE by selling low, he just doesn't make as much (there's a difference). His overall compensation may end up being lower but if a CEO is on the way out, that isn't a bad move to make.
Who knows, maybe Franke gave him some of his to make up the difference.

I can’t say for sure but I would think the BOD care very much. If BB doesn’t right the ship soon we will have the privilege of seeing CEO attrition numbers move to 100%.

Pure speculation but devaluation for negotiations (not just for the pilot union). But honestly, I don't know.

I wondered this myself and admit I don't fully understand the financial (and legal) ramifications a company might face for operating so poorly that it devalues the stock entirely. With worthless stock, I presume Franke would again control 100% of the company (as I mentioned previously). But what BL has mentioned in his negotiation videos, how BB has continued to act (tantrums in the HQ, lies to investors during stock meetings, driving VP after VP away) . . .to be THIS bad, it has to be on purpose and Franke doesn't do anything for the purposes of not making $.

Not only does Indigo "own" Frontier, for all practical purposes, but BB reports to, officially, as the CEO, to the Chairman of the Board.
And that Chairman is Franke. Re-phrased, Franke is BB's boss. Not a "behind the scenes puppetmaster" boss, but his is the real, official, boss of BB.

good points but Indigo and Franke is the same thing. He founded Indigo. And Franke has control of Frontier. He is the chairman of the board. https://ir.flyfrontier.com/board-member/william-franke

Good lord guys....
They don't want the stock price to go down! Period.
There's no conspiracy here. Y'all sound crazy.
They suck at running the airline, fuel prices are up and demand is down. So the stock price is down. Simple as that.

with stock so cheap, this may attract vultures and activist investors to "take over" and oust the current management team.
