maybe Wall St is looking at the rest of the industry. As others have pointed out, they are losing out on serious revenue opportunities as a result of aircraft delays. The stock price is a reflection of that. Every other airline is boasting about leisure demand being strong. That is supposed to be the bread and butter of F9 and the big focus during Covid was to steal market share during recovery. Now we are at that crucial point, and they are over staffed because they won’t have the aircraft to fully take advantage of the demand. Demand opportunities come and go in this industry. Not saying this is a nail in the coffin for ULCC or anything but take a look at the macro trends. LFDR 2.0 = hyper focused on cost savings in an inflationary environment. Seems like keep trying to scrape more revenue off of those already flying on us with the bag sizing nonsense because they are tapped out on capacity.

Reserve needs a major overhaul….
needs to be a viable option not a jr punishment.
15 days off 31day month 14 in 30 day
3hr short call
18 hr long call
ANY convert from long to short gets a motel or 1 hr pay above guarantee per occurrence.
just to start

I agree with this. Also adding the fact that reserves can drop up to 3-4 days on the low credit months just like lineholders.

And the title of this whole thread “2023”…laughable. Can the OP change the name to Contract 2026?

You two are dreaming if you think our NC, the same NC that brought us the last contract, is going to waste any time on overhauling reserve in a meaningful way. No, I expect more carve-outs for the most senior Denver pilots. Perhaps covered parking at DIA instead? Probably all with a new pay scale where it takes 15 years to reach the top where, with a little extra work, you can make what a Delta pilot makes.

In this world of you can be anything you want to be, a boy can pretend its a girl, a girl a boy, either of them can pretend to be a furry animal, they can certainly pretend they're going to get close to a industry leading contract. Of course most pilots know the closest a frontier pilot will ever get to a industry leading contract is holding a printed copy of Deltas, United* or Americans**.
Let them be, its good entertainment and it makes them feel great! 👀
PS: see you all at the merger in a couple of years.
*eventually
**management said so

Please God give us beards in the new contract 🙏 . Amen.
Mostly sarcasm but I do hate shaving everyday. Plus I don't look like a child when I have a beard. Can't imagine that in today's day and age that pilots with beards hurt the company image. Also been shown it doesn't affect safety.

Sure it’s not really a safety issue but good luck getting the FAA to change their minds (or all those oxygen masks with the placard about a proper seal). It can be groomed and maintained professionally; if there can be a dress code and grooming standard for hair and mustache, obviously a simple beard standard could be enacted. If you anticipate needing to ride a JS, carry a shaver and do a quick pass. There’s not really a reason for people to wear suits and ties. Not really a reason we need to look like a boat captain. Delta actually truly thinks the double breasted/hat combo is what their passengers are paying to see and expect.
groomed facial hair. Better reserve rules/pay. Min daily instead of duty period. Mainline narrowbody pay rates. Keep the hat optional. 5 things and I’m happy.

A yes from me. But unfortunately every time I’ve seen jt brought up, always the same opposition. Image/professionalism; safety; can’t JS on other carriers; Company X allows it and so few did it in the beginning so those brave few went back to daily shaving due to feeling awkward.
