Especially considering premium should get fixed to a more equitable distribution in a new agreement.
I don’t know if I really agree with moving it later. I think if they’re below Min reserve coverage for that day it should be mandatory premium. If FLICA won’t let you drop/swap a trip because it’s “below Min reserve coverage” then trips on those days after 9:30 should be premium.

But I 100% agree that the system of premium distribution absolutely needs to change.

It was 11am in 2 previous agreements ago. Either way the ability to pick up straight time needs to stop before res assignments.

I had to think about that for a second because I like the idea. The problem would be if you can’t drop or swap how would you pickup? They’re not going to allow a drop then pick right back up at premium. If you had the day off and there’s few res it’s probably going to premium anyhow. Not sure that provision would work well enough to make it worth while. Focus on even distribution of premium. Keep it at 930 or move to 11 but if you want to move to 11 you now want something that’s basically worthless imo.

Yeah. I guess what i was getting at was if they won’t let you drop/swap something because the grid isn’t green (or it’s already at red) then maybe trips in open time after 09:30 should bypass reserves altogether, and just be mandatory premium at that point

Not sure honestly I’m just thinking out loud

placed in the equitable premium folder. We could just get rid of res altogether. Lol. You’re on the right track. That system would reduce required res % a bit.

Why?

Seriously, why should the COMPANY expend time/effort/money making sure Premium is more equally distributed?

It won’t cost them $ or effort. Only time.10ish mins. I’m pretty sure you’ll be outnumbered on no change to current book on premium distribution.

Heres the sad part though, it’s not costing them 2.5 million. The majority of those “bonuses” are being paid back to the company when the new hire leaves in their first year. So, that scheme may keep a few people around and it will cost F9 a little bit of money, but they’re getting a lot of it back.

The whole point of the “bonus” program is to keep a few more people around that otherwise might not stay. Every person that stays is a sliver of time more that the company can push off coming forward with a contract. The company knows what their break even point is on “bonus” payouts vs. new contract. What that is, I don’t know. We’ll have a better idea when they finally come to the table.

CBT pay for training needs to be fixed! This study for 5 hrs and get paid half is crap or whatever it is. Every crew member should get paid their hourly rate for CBT training. My time is worth my hourly rate, and that should include CBT training.

Also, not sure why we agreed to allow training pairings to be exempt from trip rig rules. Schedules are killed during training months, especially for those outside of DEN as a 3-5 day pairing clogs up your month at a whopping 12-15 hours of credit.
