If you wanted to fly the 737 in a very senior MCO base, why wouldn’t you be trying to go to Southwest years ago? All of a sudden United opens a 737 base and you’re interested? What’s the difference?
Why do you assert that MCO will be senior for UA? And are you suggesting flying a 73 at SW and flying at 73 at UA is the same job?

Well there’s no way to know for certain until their bid closes. 150 crews initially with thousands and thousands already on property in one of the more desirable areas pilots like to live….we shall see.

The UAL flying comparing it to SWA, again who knows until the base is open. Will their airplanes mostly RON in Orlando allowing for more desirable day turns, or is the only time you see Orlando the beginning and end of a 4 day?

That is not my problem, that is a Biffle problem.

United isn’t buying any used planes from F9 or NK, not sure what you’re talking about.

And UA isn’t shrinking any bases to do this.

I wonder what engine the 737 MAX comes with… 🤔

Biffle will get on a yahoo news in Jan to talk about how there’s still no staffing issues and UAL is no threat. People will actually choose United more than F9 because they love animals and love new A320s opposed to 737’s!

Attrition hurts almost every pilot on property. So while it may not be your problem to solve, you and everyone else will feel the consequences of it.

To a large extent CEOs are cheerleaders ad present the company in the best possible light. This is nothing new. Behind the scenes they are probably calculating how if the close LAS, TPA, and MCO, they won't have to compete with them on the pilot domicile angle.

Seems to me closing MCO, TPA and LAS would be a cat 5 hurricane in terms of retention for this place. I came here not to commute. If I’m gonna commute I’m not gonna look to stay and I’m sure I speak for many.
