Not impossible to get an interview but you’re definitely going to have to go to one or more job fair / meet and greet / virtual fair and make a favorable impression there in order to get noticed.

Mostly anecdotal. I know of at least 10 CAs that currently commute from ATL or a nearby airport that are planning on bidding it. Also, Frontier hired a lot of Expressjet ATL pilots between 2015 and 2019. Many have moved away to different domiciles, but some are still commuting from ATL. Lastly, the closer to Denver a base is, the more senior it is. For CAs our senior bases are (in order) DEN, LAS, ORD, PHL, MCO, TPA, MIA. I believe ATL will likely fall between ORD and PHL.
