If my memory serves, he literally said it will have to wait until we open a base there next year.
Personally, I think it’s some epic level trolling by the Biff. He knows a PHX base would excite much of the pilot group and he’s having a blast dangling the carrot.

Why not? It’s fun, different, and temporary. BTW, have you seen how our pax dress? We could wear jeans and logoed tee shirts and still be among the best dressed on the plane.

Sooo, who will be taking advantage of the (one week only) change to the uniform next month?? Let’s see some creativity out there!
But for those that haven’t seen it, BB made some roundabout references to PHX. He talked about holiday party planning and mentioned all the bases that would have something (he mentioned all of them except ATL and explained why). Then he said something along the lines of “Not Phoenix though. Sorry guy. You’re going to have to wait until next year for that one”. Also mentioned traveling the system this month and being in PHX. It’s also very possible he’s just messing with the heads of many hopefuls. 😂

Haha kind of. To highlight our Caribbean expansion, employees will be allowed to wear Hawaiian shirts instead of uniform shirts for a week in July. Although it hasn’t been stated yet, I have a strong feeling that it won’t apply to pilots. We never get to have any fun. It would sure be a sight to see though! Hawaiian shirts with ties. Hawaiian shirts with pilot hats. Epaulets sewn to Hawaiian shirts. Unbuttoned Hawaiian shirts with a tank top underneath. Dogs making love to cats. Oh the madness!
