I agree. Western bases will always be senior in the foreseeable future at f9. Plus if he gets furloughed during the next downturn at DAL he still will accrue longevity for just about everything. Pay, vacation, sick, ect. It’s the best furlough deal going.

I appreciate all the responses. Very insightful! This last bit about furlough protection is something I didn't realize. Having been through a furlough, I can truly appreciate this. It does seem like the obvious answer is to go to Delta, but I'm realizing there's more to the story once you scratch the surface. F9 has some great QOL rules in the contract. I suppose that's great for those of us who don't have DAL CJO's.

Ual, cal, and amr did not have that for furloughed pilots in the last downturn but might in thier new agreements? I don’t know if they were able to secure that language since then.
