Dude. Dream on. I did not count the number of new hires in the photo but it was definitely in the high 30s. With the regionals dialing back FO hiring and even some of the legacies doing so now as well, folks need to move past this weird fantasy that we are somehow going to run out of applicants. That ain’t gonna happen in the relevant future.

I personally would love to be a union volunteer.
I think training/hiring folks are aiming to slot everyone into classes for April and beyond, possibly March.
My hopes are that they don't cancel March.. But it is a distinct possibility. They probably do expect some guys in the pipeline to bail. Curious when we get the update where I will fall.. Expecting April or May at this point.
Seems they want a 50/50 split between cadet/RTP and OTS hires. Their feb class before cancellation was supposed to be 23 cadets, 17 OTS. I find that pretty surprising.

When people got mad at applicants I always told them that you can't assume every pilots knows what's going on here. If you're some corporate guy looking for a job and don't read this website, how the heck is he supposed to know that we are pushing to made the well dry up? He won't know, so it's not fair to hold it against new hires.
That being said, last time we were surprisingly effective at spreading the word and the applicant pool dried up.
