“The impact of the Delta variant on bookings, and the duration of that impact, are difficult to predict,” Frontier said in a quarterly report, saying it expects, at best, to break even in the third quarter because of the variant.

Frontier Airlines said Thursday it would break even, at best, this quarter because of the variant.

So about those training delays....?

Here’s is the rest of the article…..Despite the worsening outlook, however, management believes the impact from the Delta variant will be transitory, with forward bookings quickly set to quickly rebound as infection rates begin to decline.

“Looking forward, we're closely monitoring the impact of the Delta variant. We expect any impact to be short-term in nature, given the availability of vaccines and the likely increase in vaccination rates,” Frontier CEO Barry Biffle said on a conference call. “We, therefore, expect a resumption of the pace of recovery as the Delta variant cases fall, similar to what was experienced elsewhere in the world.”

Reaffirming the view that the bookings slowdown will prove temporary, Frontier also announced that it entered into agreements to lease 10 Airbus A321s from to two lessors, with deliveries slated for the second half of 2022 and first half of 2023. Management said the additional aircraft will allow the company to boost its capacity growth rates as the pandemic recovery accelerates.

Did you post this before they offered unpaid leaves for October? Either way, that explains the lack of VSA recently. Hopefully they are correct in the “spin” they put on it that this is a “normal reduction of hours” for the fall. We’ll see next month if they offer it for November as well.

What about ‘em? F9 and every other airline out there is in the same boat. SWA made a similar statement the other day.

Interviews are still ongoing and new invites have gone out. A class of new hires just started a week ago and another upgrade class starts on Monday. New hire classes are planned for the remainder of the year. Not every statement and training delay are tea leaves that need to be read or an indication of the apocalypse. I’m not sure how long you’ve been here, but if you’re reasonably new… welcome to the Frontier way. If you’ve been here awhile then you know how the training operates. It’s typically feast or famine for the training department. It wasn’t all that many years ago where they hired like mad and then offered colas over the summer months and didn’t hire again until spring.

He is correct. And in years past there are more takers than there are COLA 0 spots offered.

Congrats and welcome…

I’d say DEN with more frequency and served by F9. But you are probably looking at a FL base to start so MCO in that case.

Completed the application on 'airlineapps' website.

Is there any other process, sites, links required to be called?
I've had an application on file for over 4 years. Wondering if I'm missing anything or if just not meeting their requirements.
