There once was this general notion amongst F9 pilots that Indigo was going to come in, make some quick bucks, and then move on. But I’ve never understood that line of thinking, and I think many are moving away from that idea. Sure, Indigo would try to make big money quick on its investment by trying an IPO, we know they’ve already come close. But why does it make sense for them to completely exit ownership post-IPO? Their main investments are airlines. If Frankie had his way, Spirit would have purchased F9 but it was blocked by B.Baldaza; he has admitted this much in an interview. And if they had the spare capital to purchase Frontier at the time, they would have never abandoned their investment in Spirit. Unless Frankie kicks the bucket and Indigo’s strategy changes, I think Frontier is stuck with him and he’ll be reacquainted with Spirit in the next 4-5 years. The guy wants to build a global ULCC powerhouse, that’s his legacy. He has ULCCs in Europe, South America, Mexico, the U.S., and a start-up in Canada. Today’s announcement is the first move to bring their investments together into a network.

This will absolutely happen. All Indigo airlines will be one big globally connected network with 4 airlines code sharing on each other and allowing someone to start in Germany and end up in Seattle. Watch this space

if so they will need some bigger planes. I don't think a NEO can make Germany to East coast of USA
