Frontier Negotiations Discussion
#601
Frontier can now keep their S-1 filing confidential until it’s time to do the road shows. Makes we wonder where they stand now.

Thank God we got a glimps in their previous filing. At least their lies were brought to the light for all to see. After reading ALPA’s letter to the NMB, it’s hard to imagine that they would allow the companies behavior to continue with out consequences. It’s frustrating that our good behavior has seemingly gotten us nowhere, although I’m still holding out hope we’ll get some good news in the next few months.
With that said, I’m planning for the worst; I’ve started applying/updating everywhere and most of the FO’s I’ve spoken with are doing the same thing. I’ve been optimistic this will turn into a great place to work, but the future at F9 is still a big question mark. Mandentory retirements at the legacies are a certainty. If you’re <40 it makes a lot of mathematical sense to leave.

Think twice before coming here. This is a little piece of what our union reps are telling us.
“We will continue to fight hard for the contract we have earned and deserve, but it's impossible to know what the result of our NMB request will be, or how long it might take to achieve an industry standard contract. So please take the steps that are best for you and your family, prepare fully for all possible outcomes, and make sure that you explore the many pilot career opportunities and choices that will exist in 2018.”
Many FO’s and even junior CA’s are updating apps and resumes. This will be a long hard fought battle with an unknown out come.
Know what you are getting yourself into.

Well, over 24hrs have passed since ALPA met with the NMB members to discuss status. I’m guessing it did not go well, because it takes longer to package bad news than good news. I doubt anyone is surprised. Sure glad Biffle took time away from the buffet line to come to DC to help prolong our decade-old bankruptcy contract.
