I apologize if this is a retarted question, but this is something that crossed my mind after reading this TA. I have little doubt in my mind that this agreement will get passed. Assuming it gets voted down.....can the NMB force arbitration upon us? I thought that both parties had to agree? Being that the NMB set the precedent (and the MEC agreeing by voting yes) that we are spirits equal.....would the NMB and INDIGO now have the ability to force arbitration on us? I apologize if this is an ignorant question.

Unfortunately for us, the NMB believes this is a good deal and will not give us that opportunity. Really, their job is to help the parties reach a deal, which we have. Their job is done. Not that they really helped much at all

You’re one of those guys who say they vote no, but will vote yes.

That is a huge gain for people who haven't got to the DC vesting level.

You won't be fully vested until year 3. It might be a gain but so would getting hired at any other major airline. It is all how you want to look at it.

C. VESTING
The following vesting schedule shall apply with respect to all Company
contributions made on or after the effective date of this Agreement:
Upon completion of:
One (1) year of service 25%
Two (2) years of service 50%
Three (3) years of service 100%

I can't tell. Do we vest on this schedule for each contribution and the years of service apply to the contribution or does the vesting apply to the pilot's longevity?
A vesting schedule is just so non-industry-standard and not within the previous patterns that I've been able to find with a market-rate retirement plan. That and language is vague to me and not well defined.
Which brings me to another point. Are they going to refine our TA? Have you guys seen Spirit's Table of Contents? Aye yi yi... Now THAT'S a table of contents... Spirit Airlines smoked the hell out of us with their TA. Ours is totally embarrassing.
