I believe the MEC meeting/vote was pushed back a week.

We have the contract that we do now because WE agreed to it. WE agreed to the duration. During bankruptcy we had many of the same discussions we are having now. WE allowed a duration that was much too long.

At the time, there were a group a 'Yes' voters saying many of the same things that I am hearing now (that we have no choice, and we must accept this now).

If we agree to a 5 year duration (actually 8) we will ALWAYS be so far behind our peers. They will have multiple contracts before we have an opportunity to once again play catch up.

Let's LEARN FROM OUR PAST MISTAKES!!!!!

This AIP moved us from LAST to LAST. Why would we give that to them for the next 8 years?

Guys and Gals, ColdWhiskey is spot on here!!!! Please soak this in and really think about what is going on. I will at least read the contract fully before I make my final decision and I believe everybody else should do the same whether you are leaning one way or the other.

ALPA didn’t distribute it. It was built and shared by BK, our former union MEC Chairman. Scroll page a page or two, someone shared the link already.

Yep. What happened to "pattern bargaining?" Shouldn't our new contract be higher than the last one (especially for their first)? Isn't that what our orange lanyard said? Bringing us into the pattern.......

But the original point is still valid. JetBlue starting point was ALOT higher than ours. We gained more in terms of percentages, they got a lot of extras we didn’t. Wait and read, that’s all we can do.

I’m just trying to wrap my head around the bizarre justifications. B6 pilots deserve more because they started with more? Shouldn’t the pilot group that has been subsidizing corporate profits with cheap labor be the ones who deserve more? If one group starts as second class citizens and another starts as indentured servants, it doesn’t mean the servants should demand anything less than equality.
