You know what, I work smart, not hard. Do I work the contract to it's limits? Hell yes I do. I've never once *****d myself out, Never!
But I see your logic. Vote NO to keep yourself solidified at the bottom for some undetermined amount of time because your pride and fruitless desire to measure up with some friend of yours that works for a respectable carrier. Never gonna happen, man! W2 is what matters, W2 W2 W2 W2 W2 W2....how many times can I say it. Vegas has the percentages on this deal passing to be way above 50%. This forum is NOT indicative of the whole.

We all want what’s best for ourselves and the whole, it’s just a difference of opinion as to how we get there.

So we agree on something. However, I’m not willing to risk a year or more to get an additional few bucks per hour and lose the contributions to retirement. You’ll never recoup those losses and the cost of lost dollars to achieve a meek increase in rates becomes a “one step forward two steps back” exercise after a couple of months.

The motorhome is now unwrapped, frontierpilotfacts is shut down, the lawsuit has been pulled, no more advertisement. We will NOT have another deal in six months. NO WAY not gonna happen.

Anyone that suggests FAPA could have done a better job reaching this point was either not on property under FAPA or has no idea how disfunctional it had become under republic. Let’s review. We had one part time attorney that lost 3 5.p arbitration’s in a row. No retirement and insurance specialists, no data base to compair contract language, we had lost several dispute documents that could have helped in arbitration hearings. Either 3 or 4 paycutts in a row (and you think this AIP is lowering the bar?) Also, let’s not forget we’re working from the grayest contract language I’ve even seen in my career (I’ve worked under 3 other commuter contracts). IMO if FAPA was on property we MIGHT be starting mediated talks now. The backup plan was to contract out negotiations to SWAPA (they were deep in their own negotiations) and APA (deep in a seniority list integration). Im guessing we wouldn’t have exactly heard back right away when an issue came up and/or would have got one of thier b/c team attorneys. Instead we got multiple ALPA attorneys working on negotiations on a daily basis. One of those attorneys went to Yale law school and has argued in front of the Supreme Court. So I’m going to say ALPA is providing substantially more resources than FAPA ever has or would have.

It turns out that you are correct. There is a time value of money. I ran the numbers.
Assuming we voted down the TA and our compensation went up to well less than JetBlue’s current book: at my longevity, using simple calculations, it would be financially beneficial to me, and everyone else in my seat at my longevity, to wait another year.
I guess I’m still a NO vote. The numbers just don’t work with this AIP.
