You are absolutely clueless. Those numbers will continue through the entire duration of this proposed contract (contract term plus the next negotiation cycle). It’s not some coincidental hiring spree after a hiring drought, it’s based upon some growth but mostly on attrition from retirements (which are not nearly at their peak numbers).

I predict UAL will furlough in that same time frame. Capacity is maxed out.

And the rest of the world predicts F9 stooges will try and continue their own indentured servitude, despite a key in their own hand (ballot) to escape said plight.

I do realize my value and I’m smart enough to analyze what the bullet pointed rules I can quantify do for me in the world of the new contract. I’m not a simpleton that just looks at rates and then stomps my feet because I wanted more. I realize that the work rules I have turns the $245/hr rate (I’d have liked to see higher) do more for me than any of my counterparts at other airlines. I’ll bet anyone that my work rules will afford me a larger W2 than ANY of our legacy counterparts if they were using the same rate using their workrules. Point being, you don’t have to make Legacy rates to make Legacy W2 income.

By working more hours, right? That's what you're excited out with this agreement? Are you excited that you'll be able to match a legacy w2 by continuing to ***** yourself out? Based on your calculations how much standing under the overpass are you going to have to do to match a legacy w2?

I'll never vote yes on this because of the unacceptably low payrates and work rules that incentivize pimping yourself out to earn a comparable w2. That alone is 100% no vote from me, right now. To rave about vacation is a joke. Are peoples' memories really this short?

And speaking of vacation, I really wish people would stop mentioning dropping to 60 in a vacation month. That provision doesn't exist in the real world. It's only 6 months of the year at the company's discretion, right? That's an imaginary benefit like our 5 min avg duty period.

This used car might have 6/10 paint and cracked leather heated seats, but it's missing the engine.

Logic? Try math. According to THIS WEBSITE, we have roughly 1200 pilots. United is retiring 353 in 2019. That's 1/4 of our entire pilot group. Delta is retiring 448. AA is 637! If you look at just United (since they were given in the example) for the next three years, their total retirement projection is 353, 373 and 452. That's 1178 pilots or roughly ALL of F9. They could run a class once a month of 30 pilots each month for the NEXT 3 years and still not replace just their retirements. And that's just for the next 3 years - the picture is worse for the next 5 and 10 years so it's safe to say the hirings and upgrades will continue just to replace the CAs they will be losing. And, AA and Delta #s are even greater...

Who said anything about attorneys? I'm talking about the ALPA PILOTS who fly AND conduct union work. Our reps basically. Do you think the NC is made up of strictly attorneys? Do you think that's who you're talking w/ when you call in and ask about our AIP - an attorney?

PBS is a decrease. It just is. There's a reason it was offered to pilot groups during concessionary negotiations. We LOSE something w/ PBS. And if you recall, it's the ONE THING the ALPA NC (attorneys to you I guess) told us we wouldn't be accepting. The ONE THING - yet, here it is in the AIP. If you can't see that, I'm not sure what to tell you.

The real sad thing is, we essentially GAVE AWAY line bidding for nothing in return. It wasn't like we had a below industry average wage scale and line bidding and the company offered PBS and we countered w/ the need for a higher wage scale to accept it. We just accepted PBS (and with no specific rules already agreed upon) and got nothing in return for it. At least FAPA would've gotten rid of the hat requirement.

You know, maybe you're right. Maybe our NC and MEC are all attorneys. Because it's beyond me how any self-serving pilot would accept what the company offered and/or have a viewpoint like yours on this matter.

You should change your screename to DENattorney...

Read his post. He didn't quote you saying anything about ALPA attorneys. I hope you don't read the AIP like you do APC.

You know what, I work smart, not hard. Do I work the contract to it's limits? Hell yes I do. I've never once *****d myself out, Never!

But I see your logic. Vote NO to keep yourself solidified at the bottom for some undetermined amount of time because your pride and fruitless desire to measure up with some friend of yours that works for a respectable carrier. Never gonna happen, man! W2 is what matters, W2 W2 W2 W2 W2 W2....how many times can I say it. Vegas has the percentages on this deal passing to be way above 50%. This forum is NOT indicative of the whole.
