A lot of no voters on here, myself included, but speaking with 6 different Capts today who were yes voters. Apparently there is a rumor that the signing bonus will be divided out strongly in the Capts favor. I really hope that's not true, we dont need to create a further divide amongst us.

Of course it is. That's how the MEC will secure the yes vote.

The MEC needs to fix the pay scale distribution. All of the legacies have a difference between year 1 and year 12 of 20-30 dollars. Our proposal is 60 dollar difference and very heavy at year 12. That alone is a NO vote. Basically we created an A scale for the pre 2013 hire and a B scale for everyone else. So 500 pilots enjoy a nice raise on the backs of 750 junior pilots. Wake up if you are a junior pilot thinking about voting yes. You will not see that top captain rate of 270 by the time this contract opens in 2023. Tell the MEC and LEC to fix the scale, make it more linear like everyone else.

I keep hearing guys are ****ed about the 3-5 year pay scale for Captains....so my question is besides Frontier and Spirit...how many 3-5 year Captains are there? Alaska? Southwest?

Was going to say the same thing. Easy for the legacies to have high junior captain rates when very few will ever exist.

Delta and United to name a couple. Not sure about Alaska. Definitely not SWA. It’s 3-5 year FO rates too btw. Not just the Captain rates are low.
