I started doing some math and see that my enormous 1% jump in 401k contribution equates to about $185/month.
Of course this is offset by being 80¢/hour under the market in per diem. 80¢ x 280 TAFB = $224/month.
Puh-thetic with a capital PUH.

I am a not a 12 year guy or close to it just a junior man. I respect all you guys/gals for what you went through here at F9. I know you are due for a big pay increase. I just fly with them a lot and in the last 6 months it seems like some were lowering what they wanted, getting impatient, and worried about the economy. That worries me. Especially with PBS thrown in at the last minute. This contract is setup to where the gap from the rest is not as bad at year 12 then it is down the pay scale. So I am guessing IF it was to pass that is how they would get it. Not at all saying it will. I have been in other contract negotiations and the company always targets the area of the pilots that will give the majority aka 51 percent. If it goes down then they just sweeten the pot just a bit more in those areas. F9 is top heavy. More then half of this group is at year 12 and that is where they would target imo. If it was junior they would give more pay to the junior guys and less to the senior ones. That is all I am saying. Anyway, there are always those quiet ones who vote yes and you never knew it was coming. I have seen airlinepilotforums in the past filled with no votes and then watched a TA pass. I just hope we all fight for what we deserve. I think we will.
BIG NO VOTE from me.
BIG NO VOTE from me.
I worry that those who sway will probably do so because of the belief of a merger in the works. Same pay rates, random 3/2 date as opposed to 1/1 or 4/1, strong scope language, probably even some elements that will read word for word out of the NK contract. Maybe there is a merger, maybe not but the fear of getting stuck in this contract with meager scope language while being merged into a larger group. That's how this will pass if it does, and 100 NO's on APC doesn't translate into enough in the real world. How big was the NO push at Spirit, and then look what happened there. One can only hope for us.

I agree, I've flown with several guys who would not only be ok, but would be happy with this TA. Admittedly it is a lot more money than we are bringing home now, and these guys have just wanted a raise. They don't care that its "a little" (in their minds) less than other airlines. It's more money to bring home and just keep doing their little job. I too hope there is more resolve in this group to vote it down, but I worry that indigo has done enough.

I think our only hope to stop this is the MEC. Unfortunately I fear they’ve already made up their minds as they were in DC last week with the NC.

Disgusting. I refuse to waste my time continuing conversation on this. It is sub par in nearly every catergory.

If we want to compare apples to apples. Let’s look at deadhead rules, stretch seating, crew meals, red eye overrides, aircraft size overrides, international overrides, per diem rates, profit sharing, retirement, min DAY, duty rigs. Nothing about this is standard except PBS. Oh Yeah....and we will leave that to an arbitrator!?!

The best part of who’s angry on Facebook about the TA, is the guys that came here after we voted to strike and pretty much crossed the line, and the guys that picked up 200 credit hours. Where were you then when we were voting for industry standard? I love how vocal all the 428 numbers are. Ridiculous.

If you’re a 428, it’s not too late! Vote no and pass go. 429? It’s fine if you don’t sign! Vote no!
*Bring a screen shot of your no vote and all sins will be forgiven.
