It is my understanding that the company will set the rate for first year with some Caviots. It can’t be more than year 2. Once they set it it can’t go down. So based on that I’m going to GUESS mid 60 to low 70ish? It’s the reason for first year going down from our original proposal. It lowered our overall monetary ask (to use in other areas) and we know they are going to have to raise it. Make them pay for it. Waiting patiently for language. Disclaimer, This information is based on a discussion with the NC chairman about a month ago when discussing our new proposed pay rates. No idea if it made it into the soon to be AIP?

I can understand your argument in relation to getting released by the NMB, but guess what? The NMB is now irrelevant. Market forces are what is bringing Indigo to the table. The company can no longer staff the operation properly let alone account for future growth. Investors love growth. If Indigo can’t staff the airline, all of their lofty future goals fall by the wayside.
PBS is a concession, Spirit +2% is a concession, a 60/100% gap between FO and captain pay is a concession, the massive slope of the captain payscale is a concession (one which will increasingly affect a larger and larger share of our pilot group).
If we solidify our position in a lower tier than other ALPA groups flying the same equipment we will be playing catch up for decades. It’s a lot easier to walk in to your boss’s office and ask for a $20,000 raise if you are making 100k a year than it is if you are making 50k. This may be the best negotiation environment we will ever see. We have to knock this out of the park. I’m reserving my judgement for the final agreement but if the rumors contain any truth whatsoever I’ll be a solid no.

Aero...cmon man. Why are JetBlue and Alaska rates a dream? Frontier is wildly profitable. Do you fly worse than a JetBlue or Alaskan pilot? Then why would you accept less compensation?

Min day is set by the TA. So would the minimum to build a line aka 70 hours for example. So PBS will keep building lines for people until it cannot award a line with at least 70 hours and/or 12 days off. Once the pairings remaining cannot build with the 70/12 the rest get reserve.
Amen to 14 day off reserve lines!

Don't be so sure. Spirit's NC got our proposed asking rates. However, we gave up line bidding and transition conflict (which is huge) probably bigger loss than going to PBS.
