Because pilots eat their young.

But most guys will say it's because the company should be responsible for recruiting and compensating first year pilots.

Still a solid no vote.

Not that will be voting on anything for two years.
Absolutely +1

It does say we reserve the right to MODIFY any proposals

$184K in salary and bennies to pick up poop. That's more than our CAs make... Time to start bidding SFO layovers!

Until I clicked through to the link, I thought you were listing the job description of a Frontier captain... picking up poop, shoveling poop, poopy hotels, pooped upon, etc. Every aspect of my job deals with a bunch of poop.

Heck, maybe I *am* qualified for the job you posted! 😜

That is to me the most asinine BS ever. I know everyone including our NC regurgitates it, but as long as the rest of the contract is good enough people will show if first year pay was ZERO. The only reason this is the norm is because it saves the company money and the pilots that vote are not on first year pay. The union should insist on spreading the wealth, but no, I paid my dues so you have to pay yours. Ridiculous.

Those same pilots who started here years ago at $55/hr before the concessions, are the ones proposing $39/hr today. That's what gets me.

It doesn’t matter I can assure you none of the rates they posted will be on our new contract.

Thats not good enough.

Again we need room to actually negotiate. Why not start off at 285 so you actually have some room. Delta and United are just around the corner. SMH.
This forum really needs a "like" button.

Pretty sure we’d be in an even worse position than we are now (if that is possible) if first year pay were high. Do you think the company would like to do something about that? They are free to add on to the proposal from what I understand.
