Do you even still work here? You have an abundance of free time for a “Reserve Captain” at Frontier! Shouldn’t you be day sleeping on your “over-day” layover?

(Just delivering a good ribbing where’s it’s due.)

Smart. If there is one thing I have learned in this industry, it's take stories you hear on internet forums and on the line with a grain of salt...

In other news, it's official... the airline is full-on meltdown.

30+ flights canceled today for MX and lack of crews.
35% on time departures.
Most delays are 4 hours or longer.
I hear there is an airplane stranded in TTN because MX control forgot an MEL that had a DD date of yesterday.

Welcome To Frontier.

Funny thing is guys have been picking stuff up left and right so it’s not on the pilots. At some point when you’re completely understaffed flights will cancel and that’s just the companies fault. I wonder if a judge would examine how short staffed we are compared to the past if it came down to the company trying to point fingers. All I know is I used to never fly on reserve this time last year. Now reserves get used 99% of their days on call. The numbers don’t lie, we saw this coming for months.

Things have certainly been running very poorly the last few months, I've experienced a lot of it myself. I realize that we are becoming short staffed on pilots, but why else is the operation falling apart?

Serious question. Why all of a sudden are we having a lot more mechanical issues? We have been using out station contract mtx for a long time. We have been using our station contract rampers for years. Why is it falling apart now?
