That's my point. The NMB isn't going to let ALPA strike over a $10-$15/hr top end pay difference, and a vacation system that, to an outsider, is borderline absurd. There is no arbitration coming.

Prior to contract negotiations, it was rare to see an incentives trip. If you did, it was maybe 3 or 4 hours tacked onto it. Now, we have 40 hour 2 days. So what has changed? I mean our reserve levels are pretty consistent. I see this as more of a way to divide and conquer this pilot group and not a means of covering trips.
There is absolutely nothing that is going to stop the 50 or so guys from picking up trips. Pilots are pilots....we will eat our young if we have too. The company knows this and will continue to increase incentives if the have too. I’m sure Pat Ryan is laughing his ass off every day.
What we can do is force the company to follow the CBA. Revoke LOA 65, it’s with our right to do so. Force the company to follow the VJA/JA process to assign trips. Allowing guys to call in and pick it up at straight time is not working for us. Make Scheduling follow the CBA!

Still I agree something is fishy with these INC trips.
I'm wondering if it's cheaper to run an airline this way than staffing adequate RSVs. Perhaps the experiment to find out is underway.
End it yesterday! If the association has the power to do it vis-à-vis LOA 65.

Denver FO reserve availability levels are the lowest I've seen them in 3.5 years, and I've been watching them closely.

So I take it in the past week since I’ve spoken with a rep the NMB has begun a DOT impact study and/or made ANY move which signals an imminent release? Dude, we’re sitting on ice and don’t even realize it yet. If you have anything that runs to the contrary, I’d love to hear it.
