Yup, we'll run out after the regionals run out. Lack of applicants isn't going to be what gets this contract business settled.

I agree. There are still so many pilots out there with worse jobs than flying for Frontier. I fear we won't run into too bad of a shortage any time soon.

Maybe not, but if the number of pilots walking with their feet stays near the January number of 15, then hiring 30 per month isn't nearly enough and chokes our growth plans.

The math would be interesting to see... Cost of hiring more than 30 every month to cover that increased attrition (more sims, more check-airman) vs. the savings of letting someone on year 3 or 4 walk, to be replaced with a $37 per hour stiff stuck in a training contract.

What's a base ACP at F9 make after bonuses? Apologies if it's public info now with the S-1 filing.

I'm curious how F9 management pilots stack up, compensation-wise, to their peers.

From the latest negotiations update:

The NMB has scheduled six mediation sessions through September 21, 2017. We believe the Board recognized the slow pace of bargaining by taking the following actions; they announced that Harry Hoglander had been named the Board member overseeing the case to ensure that progress accelerated; they indicated it would further intensify the agency's work on this case; and also stated the NMB's belief that a comprehensive agreement should be achieved within the time currently allocated for mediation. If an agreement is not reached during that time, Board representatives said they would review the status of mediation and be prepared to consider the alternatives provided to it under the RLA. We believe that the same points were communicated to management representatives.

From Harry Hoglanders bio:

Prior to joining the Board, Mr. Hoglander served as a Legislative Specialist in the office of Congressman John Tierney of Massachusetts with responsibilities in Transportation issues including aviation, rail and maritime, Labor, Defense and Veterans Affairs.
Mr. Hoglander has an extensive background in the aviation industry and labor relations, having flown as a Captain for Trans World Airline (TWA) and being elected Master Chairman of TWA’s Master Executive Council. He was also elected Executive Vice-President of the Air Line Pilots Association. After leaving TWA, Mr. Hoglander was named Aviation Labor Representative to the United States Bi-Lateral Negotiating Team by then Secretary of State James Baker.

This is good news.

Now ask Spirit how their negotiations are going after the restraining order.
