I'd hate to think that anything that I did, with an airplane that I had a hand in operating, put passengers in undue risk. That's why I care.
Plus it's janktified.

The fact that management will undoubtably take the full week to draft a response letter to the NMB, should be proof that they are intentionally dragging negotiations on as long as possible. I doubt this will carry any weight on the NMB’s decision, it’s just the principle behind it. If the NMB had given them a month to respond you could bet that they would need the entire 30 days. All the more reason to set a hard deadline (30 day cooling off period).

I would like to add that it is my opinion that Indigo has from the start intended to take this to the end. To “test” the NMB. Does the board have the guts to declare an impasse? Indigo is betting that they don’t.

I agree with your post. You can almost certainly say that Indigo is “testing” the NMB to go the distance, more than they are challenging us. That type of bad faith bargaining and attitude should absolutely be interpreted by the NMB as counterproductive and disrespectful to the process itself. And is further evidence that the ONLY way a deal will be agreed upon is by enforcing a deadline.
