Frontier Negotiations Discussion

Totally agree Union Guy was absolutely wrong in picking up premium while missing the picket, I was just talking how we got sued by company for talking about collectively not picking up open time (both straight and premium) on APC. Do what you need/want to do, but be carefull how you talk about it...

No offense, but sending a contract to vote just so it can be voted down is a colossal waste of everyone’s time. Our MEC polled the pilot group years ago when this process started. There a frequent PUB events and union town hall/lunch meetings. I don’t doubt that the union leaders have our best interests in mind and are aware of the collective pilot group’s priorities for a contract. If you do, contact a rep and voice your concerns.

I think most pilots don't even want an AIP anymore. Everyone just wants to get released. Company made it clear how they feel about the pilots. Nothing will make the company come to the table quicker than loosing money.

These days, when a TA is agreed to by the negotiating committee, the company makes the union sign an agreement to promote the TA. The best place to avoid a substandard TA is at the NC level. Once a TA or AIP is reached, you’re pretty much locked in. Unless the pilot group revolts, votes no, and then cleans house to some extent. And then you start all over again.

Bullshlt. Bullshlt bullshlt bullshlt. Do you like making up bullshlt? Because your post is bullshlt. The union is NEVER forced to "promote the TA." Seriously, screw you, and your bullshlt.

I’ve experienced instances where the Union does its best to sell a contract to the pilot group, but I’ve never seen nor have I heard of a written agreement that the Union will do this. And yes, Virginia, I’ve been in a position where I would have seen it first hand.
