Ok, I'll put aside how offensive and divisive this statement is for a sec so I can relay some perspective from a junior pilot.

Most of us junior guys toiled through multiple regionals just to get here, 3 for me. What we learned in the lost decade was the value of scope, work rules (including the impact of PBS), and seniority.

We aren't looking for $ signs temporarily and then running off to start at the bottom of another list so we can be furloughed again at the slightest sign of an economic downturn, fuel spike, or terrorist attack. We've been at the bottom, very bottom of a large hill where all the $#!/ collected for many years. There is no reason to sell ourselves short now, not after the decade+ of abuse we endured and with the uper hand.

I'm junior but I'm not young, I hope this won't be the last opportunity to finally get a contract I deserve, but it might be. I certainly won't **** it away for a few bucks.

Seriously, it reminds me of high school. Or sitting in the crew room and hearing all the FA's talk ****** about other FA's behind their backs. Which also reminds me of high school.

Good, that was the appropriate thing to do.

Not attending a planned union event, as an elected union official, and instead picking up premium OT, is the most sackless thing I’ve seen in awhile. And believe me, it was well known by many before being posted here.

I agree that the junior pilots are not going to vote based on pay rates alone. People are savvy these days with so much information available online. Junior pilots are just as interested in things like vacation, retirement contributions, and scheduling flexibility.

I read a lot of the threads about the spirit TA. It was a very in depth discussion covering all sections of the contract. Honestly, I think there are a lot of junior pilots that would love to keep their seniority here if we could get a good contract.

I will retire before the next contract so I would rather burn it down than pass on cr@p to the younger pilots

Thank you. You should probably surrender your anonymity and post your name so we can buy your beers on the overnight.

+1000% haven’t posted in a long time, but for someone with a LONG time left, time I’d love to spend at F9 rather than leaving, I really appreciate this!

Dude, with great respect, I don't know what you're smoking.

This industry is better off if Frontier closes its doors than for us to accept some low-ball offer. Pretty much every junior guy I know has extremely high standards for a contract in terms of scope, days off, retirement, compensation, and retroactive pay.

You asked about the junior pilot perspective. Here it is:

Staying is easier, so we'd rather this place become worth staying at. But if it doesn't, we don't want to leave it standing.

No pun intended just putting this view out so you see it works both ways, but the reverse could be said about the senior pilots. I have heard before where they only have a few years left and can't afford to wait for a better contract so they take what they can get and sell out the young ones. Kinda like the whole age 60-65 thing where the young ones had to suffer 5 more years at low wages living in poverty while the 60 year olds had 5 more years of top pay, seniority, and vacation, while they complained that they had to sell their 3rd house or boat.

However I might add that in no way have I heard of senior pilots here at F9 thinking this way.
