Default Career with Avantair

I've been reading a lot of infomation about avantair and the pro and cons about it. but overall, is avantair is a great company to do a career in? I mean you can make up to six figures, that beats in regional top off salary. Then you dont have to worry about the 65 rule. So I guess you can fly until you drop, since there's no age factor. It seems a lot of people in the fourm are against avantair. I really want to work from them guys. So what is the best way to get to them fresh out of a flight college?

That thread mentioned above will give you insight why some people are against the company and why some are not. Take it for what it is worth.

So what is the best way to get to them fresh out of a flight college?

As of right now, your flight time isn't probably competitive, but give it a few months and things may change. I fear that we are going to be losing quite a few after the majors start hiring

why do you think that? If your a captain or a high up first officer, you still think pilots wants to go to the majors still? that's a big risk

Seems to me aviation is nothing but a big risk. YMMV

edavis,
Please, work on your grammar. Your posts are painful to read.

What is competitive time for Avantair right now? I know APC says 5000tt, is it really that high?

What school did you graduate from? What is your TT? Are you a CFI currently inctructing? Avantair is NOT a place to start from as a CFI. There is alot going on and the fo needs some serious turbo prop or jet time to have things flow smoothly for them. I think the regional airlines are a great place to start and get some great experience. As far as the salary goes, the CAs average what a top CA makes at say SkyWest.
Most regionals will interview you at 1000tt and 100 multi min and a letter of rec is very helpful. Go to a good regional (you should know what I mean). Yes upgrade now is probably around the five year mark on average, but that PIC turbine time will be very useful for you down the road-even at Avantair. Always leave yourself an out-just like you teach your students (or should).

Aviator College at St. Luice Airport. Which is the best college to gain ME. I know someone work as a CFI here for 2 and got 1300 tt and 900 ME, and just got hired with Air wisconsin and is having a interview soon

Ok. Is that a 4 year degree? And did your friend get hired or is he interviewing? What is the upgrade time at Air Wisconsin? Those times will work for most regionals.
