There is no hiring pool at CA, never has been... not sure where you're getting your information from.

Once the most junior person on the seniority list is called back they will be asking the previous furloughees to either accept a recall or resign their number. Once that list is exhausted, hiring from the outside will begin...

My information comes first hand. I was hired in the Summer of 2008, never made it to training before the downturn began. I was told specifically that I was in the pool and once all furloughees were brought back that I would get a call if I was still interested. I have confirmed this info several times since and as recently as February of this year. I don't know specifically how many were/are in the pool but it was in the low teens.

Cheers,

Tweet, your info is spot on. I was also offered a position in the summer of 2008. The last indoc class that they had was in Sept 2008 and I couldn't make that one. They had planned another class early of 2009 and then of course the furloughs came. Not sure if the recruiter is still there, but his initials are/were GG if I remember correctly. Do you know if he is still there?

If there is / was ever a hiring pool, they kept it a secret from the active pilots. Perhaps they interviewed some people they knew they wanted for a future class?? I guess that's sort of like a pool.
Anyway, GG.... The two initial recruiters that I know over the years have both moved on. I can't remember the name of one of them, so GG could be it.

The only GG I see on our employee list is an Assistant Chief Pilot. I suppose he may have been involved in the hiring process at one point in history, but that is not likely in the future.

I spoke with GG personally back in Nov I believe. Someone else took the call in Feb, I've since forgotten the name.

Just saw another thread.......has Citationair recalled all of their pilots? May be just a rumor, but always good to have positive rumors!!

BTW, I'm still predicting all recalled by end of summer, and hiring by next winter...
