netjets travel privileges
I was curious what kind of travel privileges netjets might have with other airlines, or if its somehow posssible to travel on netjets... I'm not really how sure the scheduling works with netjets, so anyone with some insight would be much appreciated... thx

I haven't tried yet, but I've heard Southwest will do it occassionally and I've heard that ATA will also. Commutair in the NE will let us. The company has a webpage that employees can search for ferry flights. You and/ or your family can fly free on the ferry flights, but how you get back is usually not so easy. Also flights can and sometimes do get diverted in flight to cover other airplanes that broke. If you live in CMH you could probably get to TEB or HPN and back on ferry flights, but you might have to wait a couple of days for one and then it could end up going somewhere else or get cancelled for some reason or other.

Depending on where you are based, you will accumulate airline points on many different airlines fairly evenly or if you are based in a hub city, you will get a majority on one airline. I am in CMH and fly on almost everyone. I put all my Continental, NW, and Delta into my Continental account. I put all my USAir and United into my United account. I stay at a lot of Hiltons and do the airline miles into my Southwest account. I have only been at NetJets since the beginning of the year, but I already have one free ticket in the Continental account (combining all the skyteam airlines). I have one on Southwest and I'm almost half way to another there (they have the quickest free tickets). I am getting close on United and I'll get another free one from using the company card soon. I am guessing I'll end up with around 3 on Southwest a year and 2 to 3 others on top of it. However, since they will be very spread out, taking a family of 4 would either require sending them on different airlines or paying for some of them.

I believe that they want you to have a card in your own name that has at least a $5000 limit. (E you provide the card, they reimburse the expenses). At least that was how it was when I looked at NetJets back in 2005.

We're allowed to use either our own personal credit cards (and get reimbursed for expenses), or use the company credit card (and let them deal with the bill).

My current gig has a corporate credit card that's used for everything, including fuel. If I was able to charge that to my rewards card, I'd accrue about a million points a year (and that's only flying 230 block hrs a year), not to mention what it would do for your credit report...
