On the contrary, my friend.

I urged you to be more judicious when posting. This is something I exhort everyone else to do. The forums is us and so it behooves all of us to ensure its long term survival.

If you have ideas or something else productive, I can assure you HSLD or Freight Dog will be very open to them.

I like it the way it is...rather have it "moderated to death" than to see this forum turn into another FlightI where every other post is an insult....that forum is full of keyboard-guerillas

Moderation should be done in, well, moderation.

APC has moments where certain mods start shutting threads down and handing out "infractions" like candy when, IMO, the TOS haven't been violated. As the recipient of some of that, when I specifically ask what in the TOS was violated, I get no examples but rather excuses and "I don't make the rules, I just enforce them".

Maybe its just me, but shouldn't one know the rules and be able to verbalize how they were broken in order to enforce them?

That grievance having been aired , I agree 100% that FlightInfo-type posting needs to stay on FlightInfo...efforts to preserve the "higher plane" of discourse are appreciated.

I disagree and will say that this site maintains a higher degree of civility and professionalism compared to some other sites .
Fred has been a member here for 2 years and others have been here longer so it can't be all the bad now can it ?

Very well said Vagabond.

The rules here are simple and common sense. They are designed to keep an anonymous message board full of type A pilots as professional and respectable as possible. If you post with the rules in mind, you'll have no problems here. When threads turn into useless mudslinging, they will be closed.

The rules: http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/re...uncements.html

Lastly, to the OP, I hope you find another site you'll be happy with.
