Hi All,
I am trying to get into the professional flying gig and would love to flyfor NetJets (or the like) fellow pilots were telling (as their website), no jet time required for right seat.
I am ATP with about 2000 hours, 700+ multi in my Pressurized Baron. (no jet time)
Am I dreaming, trying to get into the right seat of a small jet? With AA and UA just laying off???
Thanks for the input
Bill (wanting to switch to a job I would love!)

I applied with NJA in January 08. I have 3500 TT with 2100 hours PIC ME turbine. I was told that everything is in order to just wait until I receive an interview date. Does anyone know how long the process takes to receive an interview?

Thanks, I think I'll do that. I don't have any real LORs, I 'know' a couple guys that work there but they've never flown with me and barely know who I am. I'll give it a shot, I do have lots of customer service background from this job.

I'm sure someone has already posted the NetJets minimums, but I'll cut and paste 'em again for you.
NetJets Careers: Qualifications of a NetJets Pilot
* Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (Multi-Engine Land)
* Current FAA First Class Medical certificate
* 2500 hours total pilot time
* 500 hours fixed wing multi-engine time
* 250 hours instrument time (actual or simulated in flight - excludes simulator time)
Looks like you have the ATP and the multi-engine time -- however, you're still 500 hours short on total time. (2500 is the minimum)
Your friends are correct in that NetJets does not list turbine time in its minimums, but I think someone who lacks in this category would have a hard time competing for a position with the caliber of applicants that are out there.
You don't meet the minimums for NetJets, but you do meet the minimums for every regional airline in the country.
If you're trying to get on with NetJets, my advice would be to hire on with a regional airline, build that last 500 hours ASAP (they hire piston guys into jet and turboprop aircraft all the time so at least that last 500 hours will be in something that burns Jet-A) and apply to NetJets once you meet the minimums.
After that, continue to update your application (with additional flight time, type-ratings, etc) at regular intervals until you hear something.
Good Luck!
