Default Any NJ BBJ people out there?

Just curious to hear about their flying. I have friends that do that type of flying in the Air Force and just wanted to see if it was similar.

I'm not in the BBJ ( in theFalcon) but have several friends there. They spend a lot of time on standby at various hotels, interrupted by an occasional trip around the world. Most the people there have been many places i've never heard of. But they do have a lot of down time as well. Just 2 days ago I was at a hotel, with a BBJ crew who had been there 3 days. (We were on a minimum turn.) They claim to be busy, but i'm not sure they remember what that means!

WAFP,
If you come to work here, you are not going to see the BBJ any time soon, if ever. A Falcon or Gulfstream perhaps, but not quickly either.

Just out of curiosity, I heard a rumour that Netjets BBJ's wouldn't be around for long. Is that true? Didn't Netjets used have 3 and now they only have 2?

We used to have 5, now we have 2. We had originally ordered 29. The dot/com crash and 9/11 put a kink in things.

Had a conversation with a BBJ guy, he said "the BBJ program is done, won't last much longer".

I agree, get us more G-Vs, get rid of those things nobody buys into. Cool airplane, but nobody is buying into it (according to him).

The leases expire soon so we shall soon find out what the deal is. I agree with UCLA, I think we should stay out of the "big" airplane business. I'm quite happy flying the little ones. (as long as it's accompanied by a big/steady paycheck.)
