Smile Does 18 day fixed go Sr?

Sorry if this has been addressed in the past. I know when your first hired you are on 18 day schedule, but can a new hire realistically bid and be awarded the 18 day or is that more senior? Thanks Sorry I did'nt specify which company...Im inquiring on NJA

Very few folks are forced on any schedule. I would speculate that between the 3 schedules, that you would be able to hold whatever schedule you would bid for whether it be the 7/7, the 15 day flex or the 18 day fixed.

It could change in the future based on the demographics of the bidding population as we get used to the new schedules but very few folks were forced on any schedule the last round and, as always, it is based on SENIORITY and FLEET.

Thanks for the info. Don't want to put the cart before the horse, have to get through the upcoming interview first. Was curious for pay comparison to present job.

I believe there was only about 4 or 5 pilots on the last bid who wanted the 18 day and didn't get it. Overall about 20 percent are on it and up to 40 percent can choose it per fleet.
