fractionals hiring

True, But I wonder how much the number would be increased when you account for NJ flights that are contract out when they are out of Planes and Crew.
On either end of this if they have 75% of the business or not, the cool thing for us pilots is not market share of our company, but our life and usage at the company. Since NJ has a larger share of pilots than planes in the whole fractional scheme, that means we would theoretically work less, i.e. get a better schedule and not be worked to fatigue on the 7 day tour.

"I believe our market share shows that we're on the right track," he says. "We have something north of 50 percent of the market, looking at the four major fractionals — us; FlexJet; CitationShares; and Flight Options. If you look at dollar sales, NetJets has in excess of 75 percent of the market."

Does market share affect my QOL on a day-to-day basis? No, probably not.
Does it affect my long-term QOL? Absolutely!
I would never have applied at a company without a strong financial future. I want to upgrade to captain in a reasonable period of time. Until senior pilots start retiring in droves, the only way for that to happen is through growth. The best predictor of growth, for me at least, was the trend in market share and number of cockpits. And during pilot contract negotiations, company profits, both current and projected, are obviously key to what you can expect to gain or lose.

Cape Air
I am a FO at Colgan and would really like to get into the 135 world. I love my job but I need more and with 1200 TT, 550 multi (450 of which is turbine), I am not too marketable. I am considering going over to Cape Air to get some more hours because Colgan took our lines and went reserve with them for the next 1.5 months, and the QOL hasn't been great lately. I have a family and need to provide for them and it seems like the fractionals are much more employee friendly however, the 7 day schedule could be tough. Do the fractionals want turbine time? Or would multi time work just as well?
If the New Netjet TA goes through, you'll have 3-4 bases (BOS, PVD, BED and PWM) within 60 minutes.
And there's always instructing.... O'll Jack C. is always looking for somone to fly with.

I think FLOPS (Flight Options) is 1500 minimum, but lots of negative talk going on over there.

Any Confirmed Rumors Out There?
After Net Jets passed their new contract in December, I heard that other fractionals were thinking of boosting their pay and adding more domiciles to compete. Does anyone have any new information about this?
I think Net Jets is a great company to work for. But with their new contract, it will be a lot more difficult to get an interview now.
