Don’t come to netjets
It’s a simple message… DON’T COME TO NETJETS.
The simple truth is we get paid less and work harder then anyone our size (number of planes/pilots).
Are there worse places to go? Sure! But saying, “NJ sucks less then where I’m working now.” seems like a weak argument, especially considering the options pilots have at this time.
So many better options to make more money while flying more and gaining experience. Many of our recent new-hires feel duped, the ole bait and switch, now that they are on property and actually dealing with day-to-day operations and the paychecks that come with it.
If you have done your homework and still want to come here, we’d love to have you. But know what you’re getting into please. Right now we are a mess.

Oh, even as a 17 yr Captain I have seriously considered it. In the end it didn’t make financial sense to me.
However, if I was just starting out and “thinking” about NJ, I certainly would go somewhere else. Obviously, a 17 yr Captain has a different set of parameters to look at than the new-hire or hope to be new-hire.
Furthermore, as I stated in the original post, I would take the advice of 17 yr Captains into consideration as part of the “homework”.
NJ management says “come one, come all! We are the best job in aviation!” Many of our new-hires, after experiencing real world NetJets have decided that isn’t the truth.

This place kept you here for 17 years must have done something right.
This job hasn’t changed from a week ago, a month ago, even a year ago. Yet only now you’re coming on here saying “don’t come here”

Wouldn't telling people not to come to Netjets, just make your job harder? Let's pretend every potential new hire sees your message and follows it. They can't hire a single soul. You think your life improves? lol
I swear some people seem to love being miserable and seeing companies fail, even their own.

And yet you’re just on an anonymous board spouting about not coming here…….. You sure your message isn’t for your own personal gain? Try to make it harder for the company to get new hires putting pressure on them?

Swede, I have been thinking about making this post for a while. Only just did it. Truly.
NetJets is a dumpster fire right now. Put simply, pilots have other options to build time and make MORE MONEY while doing it.
If you really want to come to NJ despite not making the money our peers are making while working harder, then we would love to have you.

If you are deeply frustrated, there are other great options these days… Time to Captain at Delta is currently averaging less than 2 years. I just saw that a 26 year old just upgraded to 757/767 Captain at Delta. Why any “aggravated” Netjets pilot wouldn’t consider a move over to Delta right now (considering the short upgrade times) is beyond me. If you don’t like throwing bags, cleaning cabins (including lavs after flights with kids) and occasionally flying into dangerous, uncontrolled airstrips, you have other options (Delta should be #1 IMO) that won’t hurt as much financially with the relatively quick upgrade times. Have you seen the Delta contract????? There is so much open time these days too for those who want it. If you haven’t applied already, now would be the time to do it. Why not? Southwest is hiring Netjets and Flexjet pilots big time too.
If you are happy at Netjets - good for you. That said, plenty of Netjets pilots have made the jump to a legacy - go ahead and ask them if they are happy or if they miss flying 4-5 legs per day (including twice into TEB after min rest) on the Phenis….

If anything the amount of FDP available is going down, which is meaning less work. In some fleets it’s not even available because they just aren’t flying as much.
The company is hitting their marks on hiring which is evident with the reduction of hours a tour.
