I'm guessing PS operates as 91k (or are they 135)? If 135, are upgrades from SIC to PIC only happening when you hit 1500 TT or is that just what they want for direct entry captains and internal SICs upgrade at Part 135 mins?

No. You are home based. You are not assigned a base. The plethora of airports that you have to choose from should allow you to have one within 100 miles of where you live. The company airlines you on Day 1 to start your 8 day cycle. Sometimes you fly Day 1, sometimes you don't. Sometimes you're not scheduled at all and you'll stay home until they need you. You'll finish on Day 7 or 8 and they'll airline you home. If you're ever in the middle of a cycle and have nothing scheduled for the next day, you'll be on standby at the hotel. This is all coordinated and paid for, whether you're sitting in PSM, DAL, GAI, etc. You'll have a rental car too.

Unfortunately, that is not the case. There is a class C airspace airport only 8 miles away but it is not on the reporting base list, thus the question. At this time I have more travel flexibility than I do moving flexibility. The crazy housing market is certainly a factor.
My murky crystal ball does show potential moving flexibility in a few years, but as we well know, life is what happens while we are busy making other plans.
Thank you for your reply.

What happens to the 18 month training contract when you upgrade? Do you sign another CPT training contract? Or does the remaining balance just continue until your 18 months is up? (Example you sign on as an SIC, then you upgrade at 12 months, you still have 6 months left on your original contract.......do you sign a new 18 month CPT training contract, or just have the remaining 6 months left on the original training contract)?
Despite getting a type rating out of it, not a single airline has such, (unless you count lower 1st year pay) so why are pilots agreeing for such at 91/135 operators?

If you have a relative or friend at a base that you are willing to drive to you can always use their address (if they are willing) for your address

Plane Sense has be around for over 25 years so I don’t see them shutting down during the time of the training contract.

WHY are pilots even agreeing to training contracts in what is the most robust hiring market in at least a generation?? ESPECIALLY when you don't even get a type rating for it, and there is no clause for them to guarantee employment to you for a given time period
