I mean, the CA can log the time on passenger legs too, why can’t the FO fly some? FOs never fly passengers at all? Captains never have to safety brief? FOs never get the compliments about the nice landing even though we all agree the trailing link is the real superstar?? That’s kinda too bad.

My background is 22 years at a 121 carrier and before that 7 years at a scheduled 135 Commuter so to me it is normal to swap every leg. In fact when I first got to Plane Sense FOs could fly the passenger legs. The change happened because of a mandate from our POI. So don't get upset with Plane Sense that FOs can't fly passenger legs, get upset with the FAA.

PlaneSense isn't a flight school for inexperienced pilots to practice hand flying airplanes with passengers on board. It's a job.

I'd hope nobody is getting upset, knowing many 135 FO positions (and 121 prob but I have 0 experience there) are typically mentorship programs where the goal is to have the lower timed pilots gain as much experience as possible I dont see why the FOI would have made the mandate without incidents or complaints. If I have a FO with me I have them fly all the legal legs they can until they want me to fly a leg. (different style of flying and company) its more so the principle.Im naive to what Planesense has gone through, but at the moment I see no logic in the decision. But rules are rules I suppose.

It's really a non issue. Switching off legs is pretty standard stuff, and good workload management. Even before the change, we still switched off each leg, this just put it in writing per the lack of instrument currency for FOs. Didn't even notice a difference. With the amount of flying we do, there's more than enough opportunity for low time pilots to gain experience. As tanker mentioned, PNF duties are still required crewmember duties.

Preflight, clearance, atis, catering (n.b. not serving). Captain does flight planning, communication with the company, takes final responsibility for oopsies and acts as a "supervisor" of sorts (not what it sounds like). Everything else is pretty much shared. It's industry standard stuff. We look at first officers as captains in training. Upgrades can happen fast if your head's in the game.
