The 1500 hours for upgrade is the minimum that the FAA requires for a Part 135 PIC and since PlaneSense was hiring pilots with about 700 hours (sim time doesn't count even Level D) it was taking a little over a year to get the 1500 hours. Post Covid I'm not sure how the upgrades will go as it will depend on how many are leaving for the Regionals and if they don't mind being fat on Captains.
As for the jets recently the new upgrades had 4 years seniority however the upgrades to the jets are being delayed as they announced that they are deferring buying new PC-24s due to the current situation, while they are still trying to sell the Nextants, so that will increase the time needed to go into the jet.

Thanks for the info.

When you upgrade, do you jump back down to year 1 on the pay scale? Or is it cumulative? And do you know if the payscale here on APC is accurate? I'm assuming the Nextant will be similar to the PC-24.

The pay shown on APC is correct and for the PC-12 it is years in the seat while for the jets it is based on your longevity with the company. Don't be concerned about the Nextant because no one new is being trained in it and those already trained in it are being retrained in the PC-24

FYI 1500 is the minimum for 91K PIC. 1200 is the minimum for 135 PIC.

Thats good to hear. When I spoke with someone recently they told me that the interview process has been on hold until the New Hampshire stay at home order has been lifted. I figure it'll still be a bit before they go through the resumes, but training resuming is a step in the right direction!

Honestly wouldn't expect anything anytime soon. Minimum a few weeks to a month(s). Hiring is frozen in the private sector everywhere. Hope its sooner than later for you. Crappy time for all.

I heard from a reliable source that after this May class the plan is starting in July to have a class of 8 new hires per month for the rest of the year. Also they plan on continuing to upgrade as soon as as the FO meets the requirements.
